Jessie is a Vietnam Veteran, and a retired Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employee. He worked for the Federal Government in Hawaii, Alaska, and Washington, DC. Jessie graduated from Trenton Central High School, Trenton, NJ, and Taylor Business School, Philadelphia, PA. Jessie is also a graduate of the Department of Defense Race Relations Institute, Melbourne, FL. He holds a current Privot Pilot's license for Multi-Engine, Instrument Airplanes. Jessie is an avid music lover and bass player. He has performed professionally in the United States and abroad. He also enjoys gardening, flying, jogging, and just about anything that can be done outdoors. In 2006, he created a local comed! y group (D' Funny Bizness), and is currently directing and performing in a "seasonal" local musical comedy entitled, "The Dan River Follies."

Area V VP Goals:

Provide assistance to enhance recruitment, retention, and membership in Area V.

Encourage members in Area V to become active in local chapter meetings, functions, and the VFC Convention.

Increase "dues withholding" within Area V.

• 1068 BEDFORD
  Chapter 1068 meets at 11:00 A. M. the third Friday of odd months (except July) at Bedford Central Library.
  
• 1011 DANVILLE
  Chapter 1011 meets at New Life Community Church, 3837 US Highway 29, Danville,VA., 24540 every last Tuesday at 2:00 PM. After the business meeting we will have the meal. Several times a year we will have a guest speaker.The chapter generally has a picnic at a park for the September meeting. There will be no meeting in December. We no longer meet at Western Sizzlin or Ryan's.
  
• 110 LYNCHBURG
  Meets the first Thursday of each month at 1:00 P.M. at Westminster Canterbury, 501 VES Road, Lynchburg, VA. except for June, July, August and December. In June and December we meet at the Winton Club, Clifford, VA for a 12:00 noon luncheon. The Chapter does not meet in July and August.
  
• 1882 MARTINSVILLE-HENRY
  Meets the 2nd Monday of each month (except June, July & August) at 10:30 A. M. at HUGO's on the lower level of the Jefferson Plaza, 2 East Church Street, Martinsville. There is 25-35 minute presentation by an invited speaker prior to the business meeting. At the conclusion of the business meeting the members and guests adjourn for lunch
  
• 2080 PIEDMONT
  Meets 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:30 (except July, August and December) at the Country Cookin or other local Farmville restaurant.
  
• 2079 SOUTHSIDE
  Chapter 2079 meets at 12:00 noon on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Down Hill Buffet, 807 E. Atlantic Street, South Hill, Va. 23970.
