VFC LICENSE PLATE PROJECT
Welcome to the VFC License Plate web page. The purpose of the License Plate Project is to get 450 NARFE members living in Virginia to sign up for a NARFE Special License Plate. That is the number required by the Commonwealth of Virginia before a bill can be introduced into the state General Assembly to authorize the creation of a special interest license plate. Why do we want to obtain approval for a NARFE Special License Plate? The Federal Active and Retired Employees are in very challenging times. The Congress is constantly attacking our earned benefits. NARFE’s principle purpose is to defend and protect these benefits. As a result, the more members in NARFE, the stronger and more effective it will in advocating on Capitol Hill. There are over 300,000 active and retired federal employees in the Virginia but only about 20,000 are members of NARFE. The License Plate project is an excellent way of raising the awareness of NARFE in Virginia. Greater awareness of NARFE could lead to more active and retired federal employees joining NARFE. The following links will give you more information on the project such as status, more specific questions and answers about the project, the VA application form (VSA-10) to get special NARFE plates and the VA Department of Motor Vehicles special license plate requirements. Please help build a stronger NARFE and fill out an application for a NARFE special plate.
