Chapter 1823
Northern Neck
Chapter 1823 meets the 1st Tuesday of each month, and generally the agenda includes a speaker who covers a topic of local interest. To share the driving burden among chapter members, meetings are held at various locations throughout the year (e.g. Northern Neck Electric Cooperative in Warsaw, Wicomico Episcopal Church, The Mooring Restaurant in Kinsale, The Tavern in Heathsville, or the Kilmarnock Library. The meetings begin at 2:00 p.m. except for the May luncheon, October picnic, and Christmas luncheon. The time and place for each meeting or luncheon are noted in the chapter newsletter (available online at www.vanarfe.org) and local newspapers. The chapter newsletter is published six times a year.

Chapter membership holds fairly steady at around 290 members. The chapter represents retired and current federal employees from five counties: Essex, Westmoreland, Northumberland, Lancaster and Richmond (County). We are particularly proud of our good relations with the community, especially through our Labor Day Weekend Alzheimer's Drive.
